Dedication to real martial arts. “Come along, pay your training fees, get a black belt!” Unfortunately this is what you will find at many martial arts schools now, students simply come along go through the motions each lesson then after a year or so the ‘master instructor’ well happily give them a black belt. But not at Turners Tae Kwon Do. At Turners Tae Kwon Do we are from the old school, where what you put in to something is what you will get out. We can’t tell you that training will be easy, in fact training at our school will be intense and demanding and will force you to build an indomitable attitude. At our school there is no skipping grades, no guarantee you will get to black belt in a certain amount of time. If you want to progress at our school you will need dedication, determination and buckets of sweat! If you want a belts given to you just for turning up then you're not welcome at Turners Tae Kwon Do, please go to another school. Don’t worry they’re easy to spot, they’re the schools with tens of low skilled black belts who spend more time in the lesson chatting with their friends then actually training. But if you want to earn your belts and you are willing to push your self to the limits of your physical ability then Turners Tae Kwon Do is the place for you.

Piece of mind. At Turners Tae Kwon Do we have male and female instructors all highly qualified, highly experienced black belts. Our instructors have been teaching Tae Kwon Do in Upton for over 5 years, in this time they’ve trained many people of all ages from 5 years olds to 50 years olds, from white belts to black belt , from the health conscious to the aspiring world champions. At our school we know how to help you get the most from martial arts and how to help you reach your personal goals. When training with us you can feel safe in the knowledge that your in good hands.

Value for money. Most martial arts schools only open once or twice a week, our school is open 3 nights with 2 lesson each night and you can train either once, twice or three times a week, allowing you to fit your training around you work and home life. We offer appealing family discounts meaning the whole family can benefit from martial arts training for a reasonable price. Most martial arts school will make you pay, joining fees, annual memberships fees etc. All these unnecessary costs soon add up and can make training very expensive especially for families. When you join Turners Tae Kwon Do you will become a full member of the world wide martial arts association AIMAA completely for free and there are no other hiden costs! Unlike most martial arts schools we will never ask you to pay any of the unnecessary fees mentioned above!

Seminars, competitions and events. At many martial arts schools, students simply turn up twice a week do there training then go home, never knowing anything about the world of martial arts outside their school. At Turners Tae Kwon Do we are committed to giving our students as many chance as possible to benefit from all the martial arts world has to offer. We have personally hosted seminars (mass training sessions) with world renowned martial artists and regularly attend seminars hosted by other schools. Students of Turners Tae Kwon Do are encouraged to enter one of the 7 martial arts tournaments our school competes in each year and for students who really excel in competitions we can offer as many as 2 tournaments a month! In our school we promote a friendly atmosphere between students and instructors which we try to supplement with social events and activities including our extremely popular annual Christmas party, as a student of our school you will be welcome to attend all these social events. Please note that none of the above are compulsory, you will never be have to attend a seminar or compete in a tournament or go to a party, it is entirely your choice. But if you do choose to train with us then you can be sure the opportunities will always be there.

World wide recognition. There are many unscrupulous people teaching martial arts today and it can be very difficult to know the legitimacy of a martial arts instructor. A good way to check is to find out if they are part of a large, credible martial arts association. But don’t just take what they tell you at face value, do your own research as many people are creating their own ‘associations’ with themselves as the head instructor. Turners Tae Kwon Do is a proud member of the Action International Martial Arts Association (AIMAA) a world wide martial arts association founded in 1980 and still run by the legendary martial artist Grandmaster Hee Il Cho. When you join our school you will become a member of AIMAA and gain all the benefits of being part of this association, including having all your belt grades certified by Grandmaster Hee Il Cho, making them recognised all over the world.
